We will be temporarily pausing our link work programme to allow the team to undertake some necessary developmental  work. Learning Network West is committed to ensuring our service provision across the organisation is current and relevant, and more specifically, we recognise the vital role link workers’ play across social work education. The current link worker programme was developed during the pandemic and has undoubtably fulfilled it’s brief of ensuring on-going practice learning opportunities, even in the face of such adversity! Whilst the pandemic threw up many challenges for us all, it also allowed us to expand our thinking, and the team plan to take full advantage of this, by way of developing our link work service provision across the Network. We have listened to all of your feedback, and given the importance of the link worker role, we are keen to develop the programme to include updated materials, more opportunity for on-going learning and development, quality assurance/evaluation and wider contribution to social work education and ultimately, the work force.

The final session of existing dates will take place on 21st September, after which we will pause the programme for approximately 4-6 weeks to undertake this work. We will honour the existing dates between now and 21st September, which can be found here: Events | Learning Network West (westlearningnetwork.org.uk).

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we look forward to welcoming the link workers of the future a little later in the year!

We look forward to sharing these developments with you in due course. If you have any queries or would like to discuss this, please contact Learning Network Manager, Dayna: dayna.mehrdad@westlearn.org.uk.
