Assessor Briefings

Please see dates below for forthcoming assessor briefings (formerly referred to as assessor training) and assessor refresher events.

Please see date below for the next assessor briefing. The event is open to both prospective assessors (those new to the role) and assessors who have been inactive and wish to return to the role. We request that all prospective and inactive assessors attend a briefing prior to assessing a candidate on the revised PDAPL. We hope the briefing will support new and inactive assessors to refresh/ update their knowledge of the assessor role and familiarise themselves with the revised PDAPL portfolio. If you have a colleague that you would like to propose for the assessor role or would like to attend one of these events yourself then please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Portfolio Briefings

In response to feedback from assessors and as a commitment to the continuous improvement of PDAPL systems/ processes we are introducing regular portfolio briefings for PDAPL assessors.

Portfolio briefings are designed as a support for assessors in preparation for assessing specific units within the PDAPL portfolio (and distinct from assessor briefings which replace the old assessor training). Each briefing will precede candidate submission dates and offer assessors the opportunity to further familiarise themselves with specific unit evidence requirements, and as peer support for assessors to meet and share learning.

Primarily offered as a support for new/ returning assessors these portfolio briefings are available to all registered/ appointed assessors and made available free of charge.

All briefings will be hosted at Learning Network offices unless otherwise indicated. If you would like to attend a briefing please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to reserve a space; spaces may be limited and if so will be offered on a first come basis.
