Learning Network West has been working with Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership and third sector colleagues to produce a suite of Sensory Impairment Awareness Training resources. This has been part of Glasgow’s commitment to the Scottish Government's 10 year See Hear Strategy. For more information and to download the strategy visit See Hear.

The Sensory Impairment Awareness training is in two parts:  Deaf Awareness and Sight Loss Awareness, and has recently been piloted in the north of Glasgow in the new Health and Social Care Hub in Maryhill.

As a pre curser to this training we encourage participants to complete two short e-learning modules and the network is pleased to make these available to the third sector.

We acknowledge See Hear Highland Education & Learning Services (SHHELS) who developed the e learning modules and have allowed GHSCP to use them as part of the sensory impairment training.
